Sacred Geometry Articles
Philosophy is written in this grand book-I mean the universe-which stands continually open to our gaze, but it cannot be understood unless one first learns to comprehend the language and interpret the characters in which it is written. It is written in the language of mathematics, and its characters are triangles, circles, and other geometrical figures, without which it is humanly impossible to understand a single word of it; without these, one is
wandering about in a dark labyrinth.
-Galileo Galilei
Il Saggiatore [1623]
Sacred geometry literally means the sacred or holy (as in whole) measurement of the Earth. Ancient cultures and civilizations saw sacred geometry in all of creation and, endeavoring to live in harmony with the laws of creation, built their homes and temples of worship along sacred geometric principles. These are concepts which we lost along the way to modern civilization.
You do not need to know about sacred geometry to understand the thread of what I write about in most of the articles here.
The material here is a result of my own personal research. Considerable time was and is put into calculations, working out geometries, drawing diagrams, and other research which includes reading and thinking. Due to the nature of the work and time that goes into this as well as other commitments in my life, expect quality more than quantity here.
One final word on terminology. When use of the word "man" appears in any of my articles, it is understood to refer to "human" rather than being a gender specific noun. Also the words feminine and masculine are not used in a gender specific context. They refer to qualities which exist in all of us and are aspects of One Universal Source just as the multitude of deities in the Hindu pantheon are but aspects of One Universal Source. Think of them as archetypal energies.
