Yeah So What's It About
In A Nutshell

Does the universe exist anywhere else but in our minds, like a dream?

The Universe and everything in it as just our collective "habit" energy.

Is there really birth, death and rebirth. If so, how did we get on the "Merry-Go-Round" and how do we get off?

Can death really be our best chance to get off the "Merry-Go-Round" (i.e. recognize the true nature of reality)?

Heart and Soul as more than just the lyrics to a song but a key spiritual teaching.

Just what is the Tibetan Book of the Dead and why do the Tibetan Buddhists place so much emphasis on it.

Shambhala as our heart center.

A more detailed description of the exploration is provided here. Recommended to read.

In due consideration of the economic times, the cost is being kept low at $50. if you absolutely cannot afford it, please pay what you can.

A Few Words About Lorena Loo

Lorena originally studied mathematics and physics. She holds a B.Sc. in mathematics and physics and obtained her M.Sc. in theoretical nuclear physics from the University of Toronto. The suicide of a friend from undergraduate days proved a life altering event which propelled her to leave grad school before completing her doctorate in theoretical nuclear and what would have been a promising career in the field.

That event unwittingly sent her on a search while she pursued writing in various arenas from computers to screenwriting. It took an auto accident in 1990 to finally put her on the spiritual path wherein she realized what her search had really been about. Like the Buddha and Milarepa, another well known figure in Buddhism, her retreat into the metaphorical forest had been fuelled by a deep fear of death.

She has explored spirituality from sacred geometry (as the author of The Sacred Circle Cosmos) to the Eastern spiritual traditions, finding her spiritual roots grounded in Buddhism in particular. She believes her background in the hard sciences and her natural questioning nature and inquisitive mind has served her well in her spiritual quest. She has also experienced firsthand the transformative effects of a daily meditation practice.

Lorena has decided to bring much of the insight, understanding and knowledge she has gained through her spiritual explorations to people at this time, knowing in her heart/mind it is absolutely the right thing to do. She also feels there is a lot of misleading spiritual teachings out there.

Powerpoint slides will be used during the exploration. The slides enhance the presentation and  show images people would not otherwise get to see. Questions on the material will be encouraged and time will be allotted precisely for this purpose. And yes there will be breaks during the exploration, including a lunch break. Even presenters have to eat and go to the washroom once in awhile.
